My next book is "Online Dating the Villain I Created"
I was transported into the book I had written, where I met the villain, Xie Ci.
Xie Ci had a tragic childhood. Abandoned in the Cold Palace to fend for himself, he was also poisoned by palace servants, leaving his throat damaged. As he grew up, his personality became twisted, and he turned into a madman everyone despised.
I couldn't bear to leave him there, so I brought the young Xie Ci home.
I began to favor him, making loquat syrup for him every day to heal his throat. I did everything I could to ruin the male and female leads' plans and put him on the throne.
Xie Ci said he would always treat me well, too.
I believed him.
Then, on the day of the palace coup, I picked up a dagger and held it to the female lead's throat to save him. But a longsword suddenly pierced straight through my body.
I looked up in shock. The boy I had raised with my own hands no longer had that once-obedient look in his eyes. All that remained was cruelty and resolve.
Every word he said cut me to the bone.
"No one is allowed to hurt her."
"Not even you."
I was such a fool. I forgot that the villain loves the female lead most of all.

Xie Ci thought he had never cared about that woman, Jiang Yu. Even though she had pulled him out of the mire and, year after year, cared for him tenderly and cooked for him herself.
It wasn't that he had never been moved. He had simply always believed he loved the legitimate daughter of the Rong family, who had once happened to pass by and kindly chased away the bullies tormenting him.
Later, he even killed Jiang Yu to prove his unwavering devotion to her.
But he was wrong.
By the time he realized he had already fallen deeply in love with Jiang Yu, she had crushed his finger bones, and he still couldn't beg so much as a glance from her.
The bright moon that had once been within his reach was now held tenderly in another man's arms...
