That day, heavy rain poured from the sky. Ling Qiqi stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, looking down at the bustling city. She had forgotten: no one remembered her birthday. She had never told anyone, except him... Her parents were in a city 140 kilometers away, so they could only celebrate with her online. She sighed and tightened her grip on the warm milk. Even he... wouldn't wish her a happy birthday.
The doorbell rang. Ling Qiqi paused. With a click, the door opened, and a boy in a black windbreaker stood there, holding a protective carrier with a cat inside. He cleared his throat and said:
"Ling Qiqi, will you be my girlfriend?"
Ling Qiqi froze.
