When the appointed time drew near, an emergency came up and she couldn't make it, so she asked Jiang He to explain for her.
Standing on the rooftop, Jiang He didn't see the class heartthrob. Instead, she ran into Bo Zhiyan, the top student in their grade, holding the letter.

So Bo Zhiyan had mistaken it for a love letter meant for him, and he thought she had come to deliver it.
Heaven and earth could bear witness: Jiang He barely knew him. All she knew was that he was cold and arrogant, supposedly got into fights a lot, and had a number of inexplicable injuries.
As far as she remembered, Bo Zhiyan hated people striking up conversations with him.
Now, holding the letter, he gave her a hostile, terrifying look.
Jiang He's legs went weak with fear. She was about to explain, but he spoke first.
“I’ll be the one to confess.”
Bo Zhiyan said, “I liked you first, a long time ago.”
He turned his gaze away, as if he couldn't bear to look at her.
His ears were so red.
