Ji Zhi, a mystery-comic artist, transmigrates into a romance game for female players and becomes its utterly ordinary heroine.
In the game, the player character is a college student who meets all kinds of male heartthrobs by chance: a gentle senior, a genius junior, a taciturn special police officer, a melancholic movie star, and a hugely popular idol. She works to win them over and develop romances, with multiple endings to unlock.
Ji Zhi arrives one year after the game begins. In a luxurious villa, the protagonist "Ji Zhi" has been dismembered, while her funeral is being held downstairs.
During that time, the plot goes off the rails. The innocent heroine manages to hook up with four male heartthrobs, then ruthlessly dumps them as soon as she gets what she wants.
She suspects that the killer who murdered "Ji Zhi" is one of her many suitors...
Gentle senior: No matter what happens, you're my only choice.
Melancholic movie star: My love for you is enough to sustain me through the lonely rest of my life.
Taciturn special police officer: Don't be afraid. I'll protect you forever.
Genius junior: It's okay, senior. I don't mind if our relationship has to stay in the dark forever.
Popular idol: Damn it! Do you think I don't want to forget you?
Yandere little sister: Big sister is the most important person. Anyone who hurts her should die!
Ji Zhi: Nine lives! What do I do if there's a bug in this dating game?
