Even the Guide Doesn't Want To

🐾 Xun Ding transmigrated to another world. The System told him that pollution was getting worse and worse there. As the price of being reborn, he had to find sentinels and guide them until he'd accumulated 1,000,000 guidance points. Xun Ding: What's a sentinel? System: ...You know, that thing. (gestures vaguely) To complete the System's task, Xun Ding enrolled as a first-year student at the Empire's First Military Academy. But he had another problem to deal with: he didn't have a spirit animal. To be more precise, he could sense his spirit animal, though he still didn't believe he was really a guide, but he'd never seen it. When he blew up the testing device, he felt his spirit animal's delight. When he stroked the fluffy spirit animal, he felt its contented affection. When he overextended himself guiding sentinels, he even heard it chirping gibberish in his ear... His spirit animal had enough mood swings to make anyone sigh, but Xun Ding still couldn't find it. - Ever since a new student enrolled, the First Military Academy's bulletin board had become a gathering place for people speaking in riddles. The sentinels always spoke vaguely of a certain guide. No one knew where he came from. They only knew he'd blown up two testing devices worth nine million starcoins each on his first day, had the most captivating guide pheromones in the entire universe, and was mysterious, aloof, and powerful: the only S+ guide in a hundred years. But at the same time, if you were humble enough, you might receive his charity. - Pure amnesia, pure handsomeness, a universally adored guide. I especially want to write about this spirit animal. Guess what it is? QAQ Theme: Saving the world is everyone's responsibility.
