While scavenging, you find a game System. The winner of this wildly popular game can win prizes that will keep you alive. You're ecstatic.
Unfortunately, you discover that because the System malfunctioned during setup, all your character cards have serious flaws. Some are physical, others psychological. How depressing.
What can you do? You're weak, pitiful, and helpless, and you need to survive, so you enter the game with defective cards. In [Doki Doki: A Game Where It Never Ends Badly], you become:

As you lie quietly in the home you've made in a garbage heap, waiting to die, you discover that these game characters are all based on real people. And now they've all come to your home in the garbage heap to find you.
Don't ask why you're scavenging in the interstellar age. The author just thinks it's trendy.
The author likes old-fashioned, everyone-loves-the-heroine stories, and might break up original canon couples depending on how things go.
