[Detective Conan] A Half-Baked Amateur

[I often revise this story. Updates are irregular, and it won't be premium. This is purely a labor of love.]

During a variety show, the host asked him about his relationship status. He said he already liked someone, but had no plans to confess.

The host then asked how much he loved this person. After a moment's silence, he smiled and said, "I guess it's like birds that can't finish flying across a thousand mountains, or liquid left in a bottle that won't pour out."

If anyone asked what the most impressive thing Im Ai Fa had ever done was, he'd say:

"Steal someone else's System and make my own life count."

System: "Host, you saved Hiromitsu Morofushi. What happened after that? I'm trying to understand your actions."

Im: "What do you mean, what happened after that? He's alive. Isn't that enough?"

Excerpt:

"Are my feelings too cheap? Other people take months or even years to fall for someone, but it only takes me a minute."

"Don't say that. Plenty of people are less devoted than you."

"Then why won't he look at me?"

"Maybe he isn't into men."

"...Ha. What kind of ghost story is that?"

Hiromitsu Morofushi looked a little surprised as he hesitantly accepted the bouquet. "Do you know what white roses mean?"

Im narrowed his eyes with a smile, seeming not to understand why he was asking. He replied seriously, "Respect. Our pure friendship."

Note: The canon characters' personalities will mostly follow their early-anime portrayals.

Warnings:

1. The protagonist is a bit melodramatic and not very clever. He's reasonably strong, and a bit of a love-struck fool, but not too much.

2. Fate is predetermined.

3. Not a typical happy ending. Hiro won't end up with the protagonist.

4. The ending is unlike that of an ordinary novel. Be prepared before you follow along.

5. There are too many elements to list. This isn't a crossover between anime series, but it will involve many anime.

Purpose: Being willful is the most underrated virtue.
