In the Old Star Calendar era, human civilization reached its peak. The eloquent and battle-tested General Shen Yi accidentally drifted to an undeveloped planet, with little chance of escaping.
Someone else had drifted there with him.
The general had always been good at telling people what they wanted to hear, so he immediately painted a rosy picture, using the barren planet before them as an example. He spun his vision for days and nights, and finally managed to endure that desolate time with no one in sight.
The general had a thousand things to do and was something of a refined scoundrel. Before long, he naturally forgot about the matter.
Years later, after fighting campaigns in every direction, he was attacked by a black hole and died an untimely death.
In the blink of an eye, the general was reborn decades later. Now he desperately needed somewhere to settle down. The once barren and chaotic planet had become a high-welfare world that everyone envied.
The general suddenly remembered that he hadn't forgotten his promise right away. At first, he had even sent people to develop that ramshackle planet, and prepared an access card containing a great deal of money and residency privileges.
With his livelihood taken care of, the general could finally enjoy the life he had always wanted.
Philcher Star had the greatest variety of flowers and the latest technology, and it was in an era of peace, so the general no longer had to fight wars.
With a silk handkerchief tucked into his breast pocket and heart-wrenching perfume sprayed on him, he strolled through the most beautiful places on the planet, admiring wondrous flowers that soothed the soul and cuddling all kinds of adorable pets that had appeared in the New Star Calendar era.
A rose fell onto his collarbone. A snowball cat came close to sniff his hair. A rice hedgehog rolled around in his palm, while a mutant panda wiggled its chubby body and danced comically in front of him.
Life was easy and carefree.
But there were two things to consider:
One: He wasn't particularly used to the food.
Because of the planet's location, rice couldn't be grown there naturally. Even the rice hedgehogs developed with technology were close to extinction. Thinking about the information on rice cultivation stored in the access card, the general fell into deep thought.
Two: The boy who had been stranded on the planet with him had become its executive officer. He was now an untouchable figure, wielding power with a decisive hand, respected and feared by all.
If he used the access card, he might be able to solve the food problem, and his beloved rice hedgehogs might survive. But his identity could be exposed.
If he didn't use it, he'd have to drink juice and eat nutritional meals every day. He was sick of them!
To use it or not to use it, that is the question.
