Cool and aloof noblewoman VS country woman
Blurb: (No transmigration, no rebirth, no golden finger. The heroines are both natives of ancient times.)
Bai Tao, a country woman with some martial arts skills, is the hardworking wife forgotten by the man who passed the palace examinations.
Lu Zhiyuan, a marquess's legitimate daughter, is gifted in poetry, music, and literature. After the man passes the palace examinations, he marries her, a rich and beautiful noblewoman.
The two women, worlds apart in status, never dreamed they would cross paths in this lifetime.
They have their husband, the man who passed the palace examinations, to thank for that. Their stories with him are not important, of course. What matters is that he was murdered, and the entire Lu family was wiped out with him.
Left behind are two unfortunate women with neither power nor influence. Getting revenge will be difficult, but fortunately, the man’s official seal and uniform are still there.
So Bai Tao impersonates her husband, a Censor, and sets off on an official career with his wife, Lu Zhiyuan.
A Censor husband who attracts admirers wherever he goes, and a Censor's wife whose mere silhouette captivates everyone.
Though their upbringings and personalities are entirely different, the two are brought together by their shared sense of justice. They go from distrusting each other to standing by one another through thick and thin.
Lu Zhiyuan grew up in a grand mansion, where every smile and frown had to follow the rules of propriety. She once believed that reading was for gaining wisdom and playing the zither was for her own enjoyment, but these became bargaining chips for her marriage. Unwilling to be treated like merchandise, she ran away from her wedding, only to fail. Gradually, she resigned herself to her fate, becoming a noble lady who pleased everyone but herself.
Though Bai Tao, born into poverty, is somewhat worldly, she despises evil. Frank and forthright, she always faces the world with an innocent heart. She is like a ray of light, illuminating Lu Zhiyuan's once-dark world and helping her break free from the shackles of feudal propriety.
One is learned, the other a warrior. Supporting each other, they work for the people's benefit and become Censors praised by all.
When Bai Tao's identity as a woman in men's clothing is exposed, she is sentenced to execution in the autumn. Lu Zhiyuan wields her pen like a blade and points it at the emperor. She persuades others to bring a canopy of the people and plead Bai Tao's case, all to save that ray of light in the darkness, not only for herself, but also for the people Bai Tao helped while serving as a Censor.
Content warnings!!!!! (This is an older novel from 2022.) It has been revised from time to time since then.
(Investigation + daily life) It's something of a large ensemble cast.
The two leads' relationship develops gradually.
Bai Tao and Lu Zhiyuan were both engaged to the Censor. One left home to sit the civil service examinations before the wedding, while the other was killed on her wedding day.
The successful candidate dies after about a hundred words.
The first three chapters establish the background. In chapter four, the husband dies, and the heroine officially takes up her post disguised as a Censor.
Coming soon: The Demon Lord Is Forced to Become a Live-In Son-in-Law
A money-loving, fiery young owner of an escort agency VS a martial arts world fugitive who plays the fool to fool her enemies.
Miserly boss VS hot-tempered accountant
Also known as: My Frail, Helpless Darling | The Martial Arts World's Most Wanted Turns into an Accountant | I'd Rather Kill Than Do the Books | The Bride Who Married for Good Fortune Wants to Inherit Everything
Blurb 1:
Five years ago, the demon Red Gu fell off a cliff and met her end after a battle at its edge.
Five years later, a refined-looking bookkeeper, leaning on a cane, makes her rounds from shop to shop, checking the accounts.
Red Gu has found her peaceful life thoroughly enjoyable. But she never expected the Ningwei Escort Agency to choose her as its live-in son-in-law.
Soon, former fellow disciples begin showing up one after another, and the identity she had put behind her for five years is brought up again.
Why be a fearsome Demon Lord when she could be a useless live-in son-in-law?
Mountain Lord! You have revenge to take! You have a sect to restore!
Everyone is waiting for her to wake up with the Demon Lord's ruthless resolve.
Only Su Xiaoyue knows that all she really wants is to remain that gentle little bookkeeper.
Blurb 2:
Qiu Hong, known throughout the martial arts world as the Demon Lord Red Gu, is eccentric, debauched, and merciless. Calling her the martial arts world's public enemy would be no exaggeration.
Besieged by the orthodox sects and betrayed by her trusted confidants, Qiu Hong is attacked from all sides. The survivor disguises herself as a man to escape the hunt and hides out at an escort agency as its bookkeeper.
Who could have guessed the head of the household would force her to marry into the family as a live-in son-in-law, claiming their birth dates were a match?
Absurd!
How could the mighty lord of Luofeng Mountain become a live-in son-in-law?
Better to die than suffer such humiliation!
Pah! I don't want you for a son-in-law either.
Su Xiaoyue glares at her, muttering curses.
As a widow whose husband came from a prominent family, she has no husband to serve and no children to care for.
All she does each day is tally accounts and count money. Life couldn't be better.
But her greedy relatives want to take everything from her. To prove that Su Xiaoyue is an ill-omened woman who brings death to her husbands, sons, and family, they carefully select a sickly man to marry into her household, waiting for him to die so they can kick her out of the escort agency.
Why should they get to do that?
Ha! I'm Su Xiaoyue, and I'm staying right here in this nest of money.
Someone! Find the best doctor for my live-in husband.
The doctor says her live-in husband once had every meridian severed and suffered severe injuries. There's no cure.
The doctor also says my live-in husband is a woman.
A woman?
No matter. As long as she stays alive, the position of my husband is hers forever.
The live-in husband does her proud, surviving month after month. Even when her uncles secretly poison her, she somehow carries on as if nothing happened.
Later, it seems her live-in husband isn't as simple as she appears.
No matter. As long as she stays alive, that's all that matters.
It's just that... this live-in husband is far too handsy, acting as if she wants to be my wife.
The live-in husband says that all these successive ambushes and poisonings are worse than the assassinations she endured back when she was the Demon Lord.
I can't risk my life and get nothing but the title of live-in husband. I deserve some compensation, don't I?
Kisses, my lady. Hugs, my lady.
She's getting bolder by the day, and can hardly wait to whisk her darling away for a night of passion.
Su Xiaoyue hugs her abacus and shoots Qiu Hong another glare. She's acting like a starving ghost.
Qiu Hong makes her an offer: "My lady, how about coming to Luofeng Mountain with me to enjoy the good life?"
"Are you sick? Luofeng Mountain is where little ghosts live. Who'd go live with ghosts? You're sickly, so you're not going anywhere. I'll earn money and support you, all right?"
"All right." Qiu Hong smiles, delighted by the feeling of being cared for.
Blurb to be updated.
Reader's guide:
1. Qiu Hong is genuinely evil in the early story. She won't be absolved later, but she will mend her ways.
2. Both leads are virgins. They are eight years apart in age, and Qiu Hong once had someone she loved deeply.
3. Qiu Hong deserves an Oscar. She's a brilliant actress and an expert at pretending to be frail.
4. Qiu Hong is love-struck in the early story and remains love-struck later. All right, she's a hopeless romantic through and through.
Theme: With my incorruptible spirit, I will right every injustice in the world
I watched it intermittently, it was so exciting! I like this group portrait style, everyone has a role to play. Nowadays, there are really very few ancient Chinese novels that are more traditional and follow the plot in a down-to-earth manner. I was drawn into it as I read it. Although some cases are a little regrettable after only a few chapters, there is always a big main line, the revenge of the Earl's Mansion, so it keeps attracting people to continue reading. Especially at the end, the twists and turns are simply wonderful. I almost thought I had just watched a movie, but I didn't expect that there would be another bright future. I really like this story between them. In fact, I really liked the time when they were investigating cases together when they were supervisors. It's a pity that time can't stop forever. At the end of the plot, the climax of the plot where all the people asked for help was a well-deserved honor, which made my eyes wet. I just felt empty after reading it. Looking forward to future exciting articles!
Regarding the extras, if you are interested, you can pay attention to the free extras collection in the column; I currently have two ideas 1. "No If" mainly talks about what if the Mu Jiajun massacre had not happened. Baitao and her parents grew up in Chen County. She was the bright and flamboyant daughter-in-law of the Xie family, and the Earl's Mansion had not been wiped out. Lu Zhiyuan did not want to marry the husband captured by his father, so he escaped to Chen County... 2. "Little Yuanbao" takes the grown-up Yuanbao as the protagonist. The timeline is 10 years later, and everyone's ending is written satisfactorily through one unit. (Currently being updated)
Did I miss it? I still wonder who Feng Yu killed Gu Xiqiao. He was so unfamiliar. Are An Yongjia and the court lady dead? If not, why is there no news? After eating Fu Rui and Xie Zhao, after the dust settled, Xie Zhao, whose father was obsessed with him, did not get married. The article, has the internal strength recovered? Maybe Fu Rui Wanqing can write more. I haven't read the other one yet. I don't know what the friendship and past between Zhang Ang and the emperor's uncle are. If I only read one book, it will leave a lot of suspense. I hope the group portraits will be better. Come on, the author.
Very, very good. I watched the first and middle stages in one go. It was compact and had constant ups and downs. It's just that I'm older. It was too heavy at the end which really made me sad. I also wish Qiuchi can return to martial arts as soon as possible, Yinger can take over Fu Rui's medical skills, and finally Taoxi and Zhiyuan will live forever.
Finished spreading flowers!!! Nice! Let's go watch the extra episode
This book feels much better than the last one
Regarding the extras of this book, if you are interested, you can collect the extras collection in the special category (if you don't enter V, the extras are free) Currently I have two ideas about the extra story 1. "No If" mainly talks about what if the Mu Jiajun massacre had not happened. Baitao and her parents grew up in Chenjun, and she was the bright and flamboyant daughter-in-law of the Xie family; the Earl's Mansion had not been exterminated, and Lu Zhiyuan did not want to marry the husband captured by his father, so he escaped from marriage and came to Chenjun... 2. "Little Yuanbao" mainly takes the grown-up Yuanbao as the protagonist. The timeline is ten years later. Through a unit of stories, everyone's endings are written satisfactorily.
Finished spreading flowers!! Wuwuwuwu, one less thing to enjoy every day.
I've smelled something different about the little emperor's feelings towards Xie Zhaotie before.
Reminds me of a female governor TV series I watched when I was a kid
