The Proper Way to Use a Knife

After retiring from the business, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps.

Yun Shangze used to be an assassin. Then he died.

Reborn in Taisho-era Japan, he hoped to live a quiet life with his butcher father, but life didn't give him the chance.

Needing money, Yun Shangze decided to return to his old line of work. Then he met the man who would change his life.

After a certain mission, Sanemi Shinazugawa began acting very strangely.

His whole body felt feverish, his heart raced, and he was overcome by an inexplicable urge, so he had no choice but to vent it by swinging his sword.

A passing curly-haired kid glanced at him.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: What are you looking at? Want a beating?

Yun Shangze: ?

Then they got into a fight and kept at it all night!

Mr. Shinazugawa can't write, so Yun Shangze communicates with him by drawing pictures.

After the Demon King is defeated, the Demon Slayer Corps disbands, and everyone returns to their own lives.

Yun Shangze confesses his feelings, but gets rejected, and sets off alone on a new journey.

Until one day, he receives a letter covered in drawings. It says:

"It snowed so much in Nagano. There are monkeys bathing in the hot springs, too. The rice cakes I brought got stolen. You're just as annoying."

Pairing: The Wind Hashira

1. The original draft was titled Blade of Burning Shadows. This story is a rewrite of the original concept, and the revised outline and protagonist are basically unrelated to the previous version.

2. This is a story about an ordinary person with talent struggling to get by.

3. I'll try to write about the Taisho era. There may be some leisurely, everyday parts, and original characters will appear.

4. A gay man is turned straight. There may be coercive scenes.

5. After getting sick, the author's brain hasn't been working so well. I'm currently recovering, so updates may be irregular. Please be cautious before getting invested.
