Older man | Reunited after a breakup | The powerful one falls first | Possessive love

When they first met, her hair was stained with grease. She was rushing to deliver takeout to a hotel as beautiful as a Monet garden.
The elevator rose straight into the clouds. The doors opened, and she came face to face with someone who seemed above the heavens. Surrounded by the elite, he was drinking milk, completely out of place.
He smiled warmly, then nitpicked her delivery. "You got my order wrong, miss. You'll have to pay for it."
She hurried to apologize, never realizing she had just stepped into a cage.

The wealthy all hated Ni Kelin. They said he was haughty and best left alone.
But the girl, small as an ant, wanted to take back everything, and willingly knelt before him.
What she thought was, "I want to be someone who stands above the rest."
From then on, she paid dearly for those words.
The man liked giving orders at midnight, watching her pedal her battered bicycle through silent streets. Sometimes he would suddenly thrust a violin worth millions into her arms, then mockingly enjoy her panic.
The Ni household's servants came and went like water, but she was the only one who was "kept," in a peculiar way.
When her scholarship was ruined, her father's new family kicked her out, and she was soaked through by the downpour, a black Bentley pulled up by the roadside.
The window rolled down, revealing his mocking face. "Little clown, see? I'm the only one who likes you best."

It was a pity that no matter how hard she tried, she remained worthless in the old-money circles.
Rumors cut like knives, piercing her fragile pride.
She stormed out and disappeared with only a few meager belongings.
"A cat that can't be tamed."
He tossed her aside with a sneer, so heartlessly that even outsiders were dumbfounded.
.
Years later, his name still appeared in the news frequently. His reputation was in tatters, but no one dared provoke him.
Every time she heard about him, an uncontrollable ache of pain and regret rose in her chest.
At last, they crossed paths again. His familiar, icy presence remained, but he wouldn't spare her a glance.
She pretended to be calm, but lay awake night after night.
Just as she was about to give up, the voice etched into her bones sounded from behind her.
His fingertips pressed against her shoulder with an irresistible force. "How did it feel to pretend not to know me for so long?"
She tried to pull away, but he had already gripped her wrist tightly.
His grip tightened. He leaned down, his breath burning against the side of her neck. His voice was amused, but the end of his words was edged with cold. "Had enough of running?"
"Ni Kelin!" she cried, struggling in panic.
He ignored her and demanded, "Does Little Clown still love me?"
His fingertips touched her cheek. It felt like a threat, yet more like a humble plea.
"Could you marry me? You can take your time deciding afterward."
"I'm begging you."
[Reading Notes]
* A scheming old-money heir who seems playful but is deeply devoted x a resilient beauty who grows from a desperate girl into an independent woman
* The male lead is devoted in both body and heart. The female lead has a brief, insignificant relationship along the way.
* Happy ending
* I couldn't think of a blurb, so I just wrote down the characters I had in mind...
Story Blurb:
Yu Mei wasn't born a bad kid.
But she secretly took things because she was hungry.
Her family wasn't poor, but her stepmother doted on her younger sister, and she didn't have a penny of pocket money. She simply couldn't get enough to eat, so she reached out her thin little hand and took other people's leftovers.
One night, she snuck into the classroom to steal a pretty birthday cake from a classmate, only to hear someone confessing their feelings.
Through a crack, she saw her sister crying behind her hands, and an unfamiliar boy.
Yu Mei didn't care. She kept eating the cake, but accidentally met a pair of dark, gloomy eyes.
"What are you doing?"
The boy's cool voice held a teasing note, and she fled in a panic.
Only later did Yu Mei learn that he was Cheng Che, the top student in their grade.
He was the boy every girl in school dreamed of.
*
Years later, Yu Mei escaped her family and went to a big city to make a living.
She returned home for a holiday and found out her younger sister was getting engaged.
Her fiance was wealthy and powerful, a perfect match for her sister.
Yu Mei didn't care, until that familiar face appeared before her again.
The engagement party was crowded, and the city's elite had gathered backstage.
Cheng Che wore a black suit and smoked a cigarette. He gave her the same casual, rebellious smile as back then and said coolly:
"I've made up my mind. You're carrying my child."

What do you mean, the heroine and the hero are half-brothers and sisters?
