A has a dependable childhood friend who takes care of him like an older brother, even though A is always getting himself into a mess.

By age, A is the older brother, but what does that matter? A has been diagnosed with "schizophrenia" and is shunned by everyone because he talks to himself and behaves strangely. This is his only friend.

One day, out of nowhere, A's cheat told him, "Your big brother's friend is about to be blown up."

A grinned viciously. "Great! Let all those hateful people who steal my big brother's attention go to hell!"

The cheat said, "Oh, after this guy dies, your big brother locks himself in his room, drinks, and cries all day."

A sprang up in outrage. "Anyone who makes my big brother sad has to die! Where is he? Where's the bomb? And where's the detonator?"

The cheat: "...Is there something wrong with your brain? I get the feeling you want to blow up your big brother's friend with your own hands."

A: "They all have to die!"

This is a fix-it fic, a fix-it fic! Of the five members of the Cherry Blossom Group, Wataru Date is the only big brother without a childhood friend. How can that be?! (shouting)

So I'm giving him a childhood friend, but A won't become a cop or attend the police academy, even though he's always been at the scene of murder cases.

No secret identity. A is an upright, independent man who takes responsibility for his own actions and leaves the trouble of covering for him to the cheat.

Of course, both the Red and Black sides will test him, but A really is just the purest kind of crazy. Wataru Date is going to cry himself to death.

(A: I'm not crazy!)

(The cheat: Sure, sure. I made you talk to yourself, but I can't be responsible for your weird behavior too, can I?)

Logic? There isn't any. Look at the "whimsical" tag. If you ask, it's all the cheat's conspiracy. If you ask, it's because I want to torment everyone for fun.

There's no romance either. If you insist on asking about the pairings, the male lead is the cheat and the female lead is the cheat's companion.

Big brother, Natalie, and A are one happy family~

I won't break up any canon couples, but Akemi and Akai will absolutely never get back together after they break up.

A doesn't actually have any mental illness. He's simply been exposed to the cheat's influence since childhood, which has altered the way he sees the world through outside forces.

So this isn't stigmatizing people with mental illness. They really do suffer a great deal because of their illnesses (peace and love).
