He Songyi loved Jiang Yihuai's eyes. They were like the first days of spring in the wilderness: where there should have been nothing but broken walls and ruins, fresh green shoots were coming to life. The contrast was so striking it left her amazed.
Her life wasn't bound by convention. Her parents unconditionally supported every decision she made, so the story of a rich girl who falls for a poor boy out of a longing for freedom would never play out with He Songyi.
"Then why do you like him?"
"Because his cooking is so delicious."
-
When he was seven, Jiang Yihuai heard He Songyi playing piano at the orphanage.
A faint light illuminated the dark night, and he wanted that light to shine forever.
From then on, every wish he made was for He Songyi's dreams to come true.
On the day He Songyi left the country to pursue her dream, Jiang Yihuai stayed near the airport until the plane she was on took off.
Watching the long trail of cloud across the deep blue sky, he thought:
He Songyi, go embrace the vast world that belongs to you.
I'll work hard to stand by your side.
Years later, Jiang Yihuai was being interviewed by a reporter at a press conference.
The reporter asked him, "As I understand it, the first Yiqing House opened in Philadelphia, USA. Was there a particular reason you chose that location?"
Jiang Yihuai's gaze remained fixed on the lovely figure below the stage. He smiled and said, "Back then, I had a picky crush who was studying in Philadelphia."
The reporter continued, "And what about now? Are you still in touch?"
"She's my wife now."

Theme: Love can overcome every obstacle
I have been waiting for this book since I finished Burning Incense and Hope for Spring. I read it twice more during this period. In fact, at first I hoped that Gu Zhixu could forgive her mother and that they would have a child, but later I came to understand. I haven't dared to read South of the Chongqing River since I started writing it. Sure enough, from the beginning to the end, when I saw A Nan's growing environment, I couldn't help but think of A Ci's growing environment, and the Wangzai milk that Jiang Yihuai loved to drink... I just read the whole book with tears. I wanted to cry even more when I saw their happiness. Maybe I knew their ending earlier. I feel so sorry for Ah Huai
After watching it, it really touched me [ bursting into tears ], but I also felt a sense of relief. They will get together again in another form. When watching, you need to appreciate it carefully and it is not just torture for the sake of torture!!! Who understands that I feel sorry for everyone? My tears are worthless. Babies must see it! You will definitely not be disappointed after reading this book. Stop talking, do I need to moan slowly?
Help, I watched it at night and suddenly entered BE. It was so sad (I burst into tears)
This is my first time to write a review. I have known about this book before, but I have never read it. I consider myself an indifferent person and will not cry after reading a book. But this book is really different. I had no reaction before, until I saw the heroine's diary. From the heroine's perspective, she wrote about her mother, father, and hero at the end of her life. Everyone loved her so much, but she had to leave eventually. The moment I saw the diary, I didn't realize that I shed tears. This was because I was unknowingly, infected by the words, and felt sorry for the heroine.
It looks so good and makes me cry [crying loudly] They just stay together for the rest of their lives!
I can't calm down after watching it
I watched it while fishing at work. Did you cry while watching it?
I was still wondering why this article was called South of the Chongqing River, and I finally understood it after reading it at the end...
"Good thing it's a meal, always change it" is a big bug for the author~ always from - ever since
It's so beautiful, it makes me cry. Oh my god, I really like the heroine and the hero too. Are you crying?
