Reading guide:

1. The leads are strictly monogamous. They met as children. The hero had a secret crush on her in his previous life, but in this life he openly pursues her.

2. The leads' relationship gradually develops in the early part of the story (chapters 1-46), so dive in if you like a straightforward hero. The heroine returns to the empire for revenge in the middle (chapter 47 through an as-yet-undetermined chapter; I'm still working on it). If you want to follow the romance, skip to chapter 61, when the Demon Lord hero returns.

3. The leads grow together and support each other. This is not a traditional revenge-and-face-slapping power fantasy.
