Qin Shuyue transmigrates into the body of a princess of a foreign kingdom. She thinks she can coast through life, but one day she dreams that her kingdom will be destroyed in five years. That's when she realizes she's in a male-oriented wish-fulfillment novel. To change her kingdom's fate, Qin Shuyue immediately disguises herself as a man and travels alone to the male lead's country.
After arriving in Chen, Qin Shuyue happens to meet a member of the Imperial Guards on her way to the capital. They become sworn brothers and travel together the rest of the way.
When they reach the capital, Qin Shuyue is forced to return home. The next time she comes back, it's to marry into Chen as part of an alliance between the two kingdoms.
On their wedding night, the emperor of Chen looks unhappily at the bride sitting on the bed and says coolly, "I already have someone I love. I won't grow close to you."
Hearing a familiar voice, Qin Shuyue lifts her red veil in one sweep. When she sees an unfamiliar face, disappointment immediately shows on hers.
What she doesn't see is the shock on the emperor's face.
This is a self-indulgent story, so if it's not for you, please don't read it.
