Full synopsis:
At the age of three, an omega undergoes differentiation and is found to be either capable or incapable of conceiving.
Under the laws of Sodom, omegas who cannot conceive normally are called defective O-types.
O-types who can conceive normally enjoy immense social privileges. They receive the best education and the safest protection until they are matched with a suitable A-type to form the perfect family and have children.
Defective O-types, who cannot conceive normally, are sent to welfare homes in the Lower City, where they receive only the bare minimum of education. Once they leave, they are relegated to the very bottom of society and can barely scrape by.
Zhu Jiang, a defective O-type, has lived in the welfare home in Lower City District 49 for as long as he can remember. After leaving with no money to his name, he has no choice but to make a living through disreputable work.
After years of struggle, he finally escapes the hellish Lower City District 49 and reaches the bustling streets of District 11, where he becomes a somewhat famous "flower boy."
Just as he is working toward his dream of adopting a beta and building a family with a B-type partner, he is accidentally caught up in a conspiracy and dies in an alley.
By a twist of fate, Zhu Jiang gets a new lease on life. Confused and helpless, he nevertheless has to face the immediate threat to his life.
Determined to change his fate so he can survive, Zhu Jiang tries his hardest. But before long, he finds himself caught in a complicated emotional entanglement with his unrequited love, a deranged man, and a vengeful pursuer.
