"A cold-on-the-outside, lively-on-the-inside, looks-obsessed CEO bottom with skin hunger, and a scheming, flirtatious superstar top who has been plotting to pamper his wife for a long time"
To avoid an arranged marriage, CEO Yu Ling secretly married someone first. Through a series of coincidences, he chose the superstar Lu Heng.
Always in a suit, unapproachable, and all business, Yu Ling gave the handsome, well-proportioned Lu Heng a cold once-over. "Don't think I'll fall for you."
That evening, Yu Ling got drunk. He opened the door and saw Lu Heng sitting on a warm yellow rug. The long-haired cat at home, normally aloof and indifferent, walked over and flopped into his arms with a plop.
With a doting expression, Lu Heng stroked the cat's fur with his long fingers.
Yu Ling suddenly thought that this "gentle, handsome man," whom fans called "the Archangel Michael come to life," might not be quite the scam his publicity made him out to be.
Yu Ling felt the back of his neck getting a little itchy, too.
So Lu Heng saw the aloof CEO with red-rimmed eyes, looking pitifully drunk and even a little aggrieved. "Could you pet me too?"
Lu Heng's lips curled up. He really was even cuter than Lu Heng had imagined.
The old saying that you always end up eating your words may be slow to arrive, but even a domineering CEO can't escape it.
Yu Ling wanted to use his money and influence to keep Lu Heng tied to him. He hadn't expected that Lu Heng was not only a star, but also a top graduate of a directing program, the founder of a studio, and a shareholder in an entertainment company. He even had a "small" family business, with annual earnings higher than Yu Ling's.
When Yu Ling saw a "Heng Family" fan item stuck to the management director's phone, he finally lost his composure.
He tapped his finger on the office desk. "You should focus your attention where it belongs."
The beautiful director pushed up her glasses. "CEO, you just don't understand. One look at Lu Heng gets me an extra hour of work. If I can get an autograph in my lifetime, I'll be able to burn brightly at my post until the end of time."
Without changing expression, Yu Ling took out a signed photo. "Here. Young people should focus on their work, not be like those fanatics."
The director: ??? Which one of us is the fan, exactly?
The door to the CEO's office closed. Lu Heng, wearing a hat, came out of the adjoining lounge and watched Yu Ling with an amused smile, his hands in his pockets. "I was wondering why I signed a hundred photos and was still one short."
Yu Ling: I was wrong. I'll do it again next time.
[Reader's Guide]
1. Yu Ling is the bottom, in case you're worried about the pairing being reversed.
2. There's not much of a career storyline. It's mostly about them falling in love.
3. I can't think of any content warnings for now.
(The plot outline and character settings are set and won't change, but the author is terrible at writing blurbs, so I may keep revising this one back and forth later. QAQ)
