Cosmic Civil Servant

As an employee in the Grievance Bureau of the Intelligent Life Division, Life Department, Three Thousand Universes General Administration, Zhao Hui had originally been an appliance repairman. After he drowned from exhaustion while rescuing three children who had been swimming in the wild on his way home from work, he opened his eyes again and found himself in a "New World." "So the underworld really does have a book of life and death?" Zhao Hui murmured, dumbfounded. He had been a staunch materialist. "Please don't believe in myths and legends." A staff member from the Three Administrations smiled with professional composure. "We are a scientific, legitimate official organization." Scientific? Legitimate? What kind of science? What kind of legitimacy? Zhao Hui was full of questions. "To me, love is both a feeling and a responsibility. I don't know if I can shoulder that responsibility, so I don't dare accept these feelings. I'm afraid I'll let you down too much." "I know myself too well. I'm not exactly self-centered, but I am selfish. Even if I feel guilty, I still only want to live the life I want and love the person I want."
