There she meets the hero, with whom she shared a childhood bond. They encourage and save each other, find their own paths in life, grow, fall in love, and succeed in their careers. The hero grows from an aimless young delinquent into an outstanding police officer who protects the region and keeps the mountain city safe. The heroine becomes an excellent journalist. The story features a youthful, unrequited school romance as well as an inspiring and moving workplace storyline, and is well worth reading.
