This is a strange and chaotic age.

Winged beasts and birdmen tear at each other in the sky, while plants lash out with powerful branches to strangle the bizarre enemies that trespass on their territory. The "gods" of the deep sea can unleash hurricanes and tsunamis with a single word, and devour everything in sight at will.

Humanity is weak and struggles to survive.

They can only rely on "Guardian Spirits" awakened from ancient artifacts for protection, fighting desperately against the invasion and slaughter of alien beings and barely preserving their race's heritage, which teeters on the brink of annihilation.

Every day, people die fighting on the borders, people are enslaved and abused in chaotic zones, and others are raised as food and living blood banks. Even the hard-won safe zones and bases are far from safe.

Few know whether tomorrow or death will come first.

Li Su awakened in the ruins and opened the book in his hands:

"The woods are dark; startled grass stirs in the wind. At night, the general draws his bow. At dawn, they seek the white-feathered arrow, sunk deep in a rocky ridge."

The summoned Guardian Spirit shot down a giant stone monster general, opening the first chapter of the resistance.

"A thousand mountains, no birds in flight; ten thousand paths, no human tracks. A lone boat, an old man in a rain cape and bamboo hat, fishing alone in the snowy river."

A rare domain-type illusion trapped tens of thousands of invading birdmen and left them to die.

"The roc rises with the wind one day, soaring ninety thousand miles into the sky."

A true divine bird spread its wings above the sea, blotting out the sun and stirring up storms. The "god" that had lurked in the depths clung to its talons, shrieking and begging for mercy.

Using books as his medium, poetry as his blade, and his enemies' flesh and blood as nourishment,

he would lead his friends and fellow humans to fight their way to survival!
