White hair mourns the falling blossoms; youthful ambition and spirit are all in the past.
Before time and space, we are as small as specks of dust, utterly helpless.
"Isn't it ridiculous? They pray to the gods every day, but when have the gods ever given them anything?"
"Sometimes it's not that the gods haven't seen them. It's that even the gods are powerless."
"One day, I'll become a god revered by all!"
"I never make empty boasts."
In truth, he had already become a god revered by all.
"Life is full of possibilities. Why throw your life away? So many people are desperate to live."
"Maybe living is just too painful. I want to leave."
"I once met someone like you. You and she are both fools, impossible to dissuade."
Devoting yourself to kindness is already the best way to repay this world.
"Is this what you call devotion?"
"It's just longing."
Fallen leaves swirled in the chilly autumn wind. The leaves felt nothing; they crumbled into the earth without leaving a trace.
"Stop struggling. No matter how powerful you were in life, once you're dead, you're nothing."
Notes:
1. This isn't a conventional quick transmigration story. I'm writing it entirely according to my own ideas.
2. This isn't a sweet romance. It's a BE, so please don't complain if it's not your thing.
3. My writing isn't very good, so I probably won't manage to make it all that heartbreaking.
Theme: Watch others' glory fade, and remember that this life is but a dream.
