Jiang Xian transmigrated into a sci-fi novel, becoming a nameless passerby.
All she knew was that she was an heir, ranked below one hundred, to a conglomerate that monopolized most of the technology in the interstellar world.
To avoid being written off as cannon fodder and to pursue her own ambitions, Jiang Xian took over the conglomerate's near-bankrupt racing team and recruited a long-retired four-time champion as its ace driver.
Rumor had it that this driver came from a noble family, was extraordinarily talented and peerlessly handsome, and was known as the "Son of Light on the Track."
Yet Lang Yu had become a ragged mechanic. The handsome man was surrounded by a crowd, his clothes barely covering him, about to be turned into a human rag.
Jiang Xian: What kind of novel is this? Why is it so depraved?!
To save Lang Yu, she had no choice but to pay to buy him.
To repay her, Lang Yu agreed to return to racing and help her win the league championship.
Soon, at the first race of the interstellar league, just as everyone was debating whether the Dilan Group would come in last or second to last this year, the group unexpectedly won the championship.
Rumors spread like wildfire that Jiang Xian was madly in love with Lang Yu and had even made a bionic replica of him to compete in the race.
Jiang Xian: Ridiculous, but interesting.
So she decided to go all the way and really did use Lang Yu as the model for a new mass-produced pleasure bionic called "Son of Light." Handsome, gentle, packed with features, and highly advanced, the Son of Light took the entire interstellar world by storm as soon as it launched. Jiang Xian made a fortune and became one of the Alliance's hottest rising business stars.
During an interview, a reporter asked where she got the inspiration. She smiled and said:
"Thanks to the netizens for the suggestion. A beauty like that would be too lovely to keep all to myself."
Netizens: ???
Please note:
1. The author is terrible at writing blurbs. This is my take on an interstellar novel, with little romance. You could call it a wish-fulfillment novel, I suppose. It has a serious tone, and the male lead is basically a mascot and a tool. The author's skill is limited, the pacing is slow, and the story takes its time getting going.
2. This story is fictional, so please don't compare it to real life. All the characters have internally consistent motivations, and their values do not represent the author's. If you expect the protagonist to meet your moral standards, this isn't the story for you.
3. More content warnings are in the author's note for Chapter One.
4. I hope you enjoy reading!
