Can I, a Down-and-Out Novelist, Find Devoted Fans in Another World?

I'm a down-on-my-luck novelist, always on the verge of not being able to afford food.

I don't have any serious bad intentions, but I often can't hold back my sorrow and end up writing melodramatic stuff to vent my feelings.

...Of course, my terrible writing meant I was never taken seriously.

Later, I died in a car accident.

...Maybe.

An unidentified manuscript was left outside an unremarkable publishing house. Those who saw it were amazed, moved by the beauty of its melancholy. The first time, the second time... The manuscript's owner was on the brink of death. People tried to save him, but didn't even know where he was. The letters they sent disappeared without a trace, while his despairing desires grew ever more desolate.

The manuscript's owner was a genius.

A genius who didn't know it, and a pitiful soul beyond saving.
