I'll Definitely Choose Wrong Again

[Blurb]

Xu Jiayin has a "special talent": she's always attracted to the worst person in any group, and he always responds enthusiastically.

Every time she thinks she's about to find a boyfriend, she discovers she's just another fish on his line.

Single since birth for over twenty years, with zero dating experience and plenty of bad decisions.

Over time, her friends have come to repeat this golden rule: [Let Xu Jiayin choose first in any group, and everyone left over is a good person.]

She's absolutely convinced she has a knack for attracting jerks.

[How do you pursue a girl who's never dated? Be considerate and make her feel safe. Win her over with little gestures. Become a better, more outstanding person.]

With his friends' advice and help, Guan Shujun succeeds in becoming the brightest person in Xu Jiayin's eyes.

He thinks he's got it in the bag, but Xu Jiayin suddenly comes to her senses and panics:

If I like someone out of a group, he has to be the worst scumbag of the lot! Run!

Guan Shujun: ...

#The way you shine so hard makes you look like a jerk#

#What do I do when being too awesome makes people think I'm a jerk? Asking urgently, please help#

A sincere and brave woman who thinks she attracts jerks x a self-satisfied, secretly flirtatious man

Civil aviation x border inspection

-Writing this for you, waiting quietly for good news-

*

Both are first-time daters and both are romantics. Before they get together, their main job is giving their friends advice (?)

Originally titled "Little Notes." It missed its scheduled release because of the pandemic, and after writing half of it, I thought for a long time before deciding to rewrite it. It's still about the same two people, and the original story will appear in pieces.

The first line comes from an internet joke: Let someone of a certain zodiac sign choose first from a group, and everyone left over is a good person. (There's no fixed version for which sign.)

Theme: When facing one setback and bout of uncertainty after another in life, face them bravely and wait quietly for good news.
