The little princess of the underworld dies unexpectedly and is reborn a thousand years later as Jing Youyou, a little girl in the Jing family, a good-for-nothing family of the mystic arts.
To get the public to take the mystic arts more seriously, several great families of the mystic world put together a ghost-hunting reality show, with each family sending a child to participate.
Youyou, the contrast to the genius children of the mystic arts, is forced to join the show too.
Before she leaves, her grandparents, parents, uncles, and cousins take turns holding her and crying.
"Youyou, make sure you wear your protective talisman!"
"Youyou, ghosts are terrifying. Stay far away from them. We don't mind if you embarrass yourself."
"Youyou, Grandpa is useless. I'm sorry. Make sure you stay at the back and just get through one episode, then come home!"
Sure enough, once the show starts, Youyou stands in stark contrast to the genius children.
The other kids have a naturally aloof aura and follow their family rules in every word and deed. Youyou, on the other hand, is carefree and innocent, with none of the bearing of someone from the mystic arts.
When the other kids encounter ghosts, they spring into ferocious action and fight them to the death. Youyou, on the other hand, enthusiastically cuddles ghosts and hooks her little finger with theirs to make friends.
People in the mystic world mock the Jing family as useless, while viewers jokingly call Youyou "the most useless little ray of sunshine."
Then, at the end of the first episode, the genius children disturb a powerful red-clad ghost. It's so strong that even the master assigned by the mystic world to protect the crew is beaten into coughing up blood.
With the mystic reality show on the verge of becoming a slaughter, the entire Jing family clutches their heads and cries, praying the evil ghost won't find Youyou, who's asleep in a little room. Viewers frantically call emergency services and beg them to rescue the children. The heads of all the great families rush to the scene, but none of them can get there in time.
At this life-or-death moment, Youyou is woken up by the noise.
Still cranky from being woken, she grabs the evil ghost by the hair and pouts unhappily. "You're making too much noise while I'm sleeping! I'll count to three. You have to put me back to sleep right now! Otherwise, otherwise, otherwise, I'll cry!"
The next second, her grandparents, parents, uncles, and cousins, who had thought the evil ghost was about to eat Youyou, are left dumbfounded.
The evil ghost immediately backs down and obediently crouches beside the bed, singing a lullaby as gently as possible.
Later, after Youyou helps the ghost move on, people discover that it was the movie star who mysteriously died ten years ago.
And later still, the great families of the mystic world are dismayed to find that all their genius children have become Jing Youyou's little followers...
