My Goal Is to Retire Happily in Cao Wei [Three Kingdoms]

After Wang Xuan dies, he transmigrates to the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty and discovers, to his dismay, that his new body is frail and sickly. To stay alive, it's time to choose a promising lord who actually cares about his subordinates. Is there anywhere better to enjoy a quiet retirement than Cao Wei? Cheng Yu lived to eighty here, Jia Xu to seventy-seven, and Sima Yi to seventy-three. Wang Xuan doesn't ask for much. He just wants to live to seventy. Luckily, Cao Cao has plenty of strategists under his command, so Wang Xuan can slack off now and then. The first rule of staying healthy is to work less and rest more. Before setting out on a campaign, Cao Cao asks his beloved Wang Ziyu, "I'm going to attack Liaodong this time. Will you come with me, Ziyu?" Wang Xuan coughs violently, then weakly replies, "How could I leave my lord's side? Of course I'll go with you." Cao Cao immediately makes up his mind. "No. You should stay in Xudu and rest." Sigh! Both Ziyu and Fengxiao are so frail, yet neither knows how to take care of himself. As their lord, it seems he really does have to worry more about them. He won't take Fengxiao along this time either. He can stay and recover with Ziyu! Guo Fengxiao: ??? Wang Xuan smiles faintly. He's scored another stretch of leave. How wonderful. No CP. The protagonist is a master of workplace slacking, and Cao Wei's favorite (not really). A mix of official history and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Everything serves the plot. Theme: Cherish life, and don't give in to illness or adversity.
