New Affairs of the Times

Xie Shanling has an inauspicious birth chart, so to save his life, his family had him pretend to be a girl and arranged a betrothal between him and the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince was the only one kept in the dark. The Crown Prince lost his mother when he was young. His imperial father despised him and kept him confined in a Buddhist temple. He poured all his hopes and dreams for the future into his fiancée, writing to her every year to show his concern and even giving her a jade pendant that had belonged to his mother. Feeling guilty, Xie Shanling told the Crown Prince the truth. The Crown Prince turned away in anguish and ran off. He disappeared, becoming a source of regret for Xie Shanling. Later, the Crown Prince returned. With a cold expression, he said Xie Shanling had caused his disappearance and led to his being stripped of his title, and had also made him develop a taste for men. Xie Shanling had to marry him as compensation, or he would tell everyone that the Xie family had tricked him into a sham marriage. With no other choice, Xie Shanling agreed. The Crown Prince was no longer the shy, sincere boy he had been beneath the moon. He was composed and cheerful around others, but behind closed doors he gave Xie Shanling the cold shoulder and bullied him. Xie Shanling: I owe you, do I…? Never mind. I really do. * In his bleak, sunless life, his fiancée was Gu Wangsheng’s only comfort. The conviction that one day he would marry her and live a warm, happy life together was what kept him going through the long, dark nights. Whenever he thought of his fiancée, even the man with every reason to turn evil couldn’t bring himself to do it. He secretly went to see his fiancée. The good news: she was beautiful, gentle, and well-mannered. Hehehe. The bad news: his fiancée was a man. No more hehehe. Gu Wangsheng: ? Why hasn’t this cursed world been destroyed yet? As if things couldn’t get any worse, just after Gu Wangsheng had his heart broken, assassins sent by a treacherous consort drove him over a cliff. Gu Wangsheng: This world wronged me first!!! He decides to rebel and overthrow this rotten dynasty! …And, while he’s at it, marry Xie Shanling, the lying fraud who pretended to be a woman and tricked him into a sham marriage and a love affair. Xie Shanling is absolutely infuriating. He lied about his feelings when they were children, and now that they’re grown up, he has a whole string of exes, a dead-and-returned first love, and he even exchanged looks with that first love for more than ten seconds… Gu Wangsheng: I can’t live like this anymore! * The top is a lovesick, clueless fool with an overactive imagination. The bottom isn’t a fool, but he’s just as dramatic. They dote on each other. * The top and bottom each have strong, distinct personalities, with their own strengths, flaws, and values. * Adorable cover by xxxxx Cute Lord~! Theme: The fate of the world is everyone’s responsibility.
