On Helping the Neighbor

My new story, "Doing Whatever I Want to the Captain Every Day", is now live. Please add it to your favorites!

As a child, Xia Hua was always certain she would grow up to be the finest MAFIA in her family. Of course, her benchmark wasn't Brother Lambo, who'd already graduated from middle school but still hadn't outgrown being a crybaby.

She adored the older boy who played with her and believed everything he said, except for, "I'm the strongest man in the Vongola."

Hibari Xia Hua: Italy really does corrupt people. Even Brother Lambo has gone bad.

How much did he drink, anyway?

The strongest person in the Vongola is her daddy! "Proudly puffs out her chest.jpg"

But when little Xia Hua told her beloved daddy about her grand ambitions, her usually indifferent father did something rare: he looked up from the book in his hands. His slender phoenix eyes turned to the little tot in front of him, a glint in his gaze as if checking whether the little one he'd raised himself (not really) had been led astray by that herd of herbivores.

When Xia Hua saw her father smile, she was over the moon.

She really was Daddy's precious baby!

At the time, little Xia Hua was far too young to know that a smile from the Vongola Cloud Guardian might not be a good thing.
