Lu Mingxi had just been drugged by an enemy and lost her memory. When her family found out, they helped her recover it.
Even after regaining her memories, Lu Mingxi still couldn't remember how she had lost them. Her family thought she was simply too weak, so they sent her to train and ascend to immortality.
Who knew Lu Mingxi was a prodigy? She mastered everything at once, and was even found to possess the bloodlines of humans, gods, demons, and devils. She was destined to become ruler of all four realms. After ascending to immortality, Lu Mingxi returned.
When they discovered her mother was pregnant, the demon clan took advantage of the situation and invaded. Lu Mingxi went to battle. Her mother, weakened after giving birth and after helping repel the demons, was killed by a demon envoy. Lu Mingxi was there and saw her mother die. She believed it was because she was too weak to protect her mother that her mother had been hurt.
Lu Mingxi's second older sister arrived just in time to see their mother killed, and was devastated. Fearing that without her protection, Lu Mingxi would be killed by wicked people, their mother erased Lu Mingxi's memories and had her second sister take her to Qingqiu. There, she was given the assumed name Bai Wanzhu. Since Lu Mingxi's true form was a nine-tailed fox, she was made the Fox Emperor's adopted daughter...
