Building a Settlement in the Wasteland with the Classic of Mountains and Seas

A young woman awakens amid the ruins of the post-apocalyptic world, with nothing but a pen and a book. Two gilt characters are engraved on the pen: Divine Pen. The first page of the book reads: Maiden, do you want to become stronger? Summon your own divine beasts! Among the ruins, there are no living people, but there are things to use. The pen is made of meteorite, so it can't be eaten. The book is made of gold leaf, so that can't be eaten either. Starving and famished, Shanhai can only draw imaginary food to stave off hunger. Who knew that anything drawn with the pen would become real? Overjoyed, she summoned divine beasts, only to end up with a pile of little animals that were good for nothing except being cute and edible. From then on, she had to provide not only for herself in this barren world, but also for this pack of clingy little animals. Especially that chubby creature that looked kind of like a dragon, but not quite. It ate everything all day long and was never full. Luckily, the Divine Pen was useful. It could draw clothes and houses, not just food. As she grew more and more adept at controlling the Divine Pen, Shanhai drew a house to shelter from the wind and rain. The useless divine beasts cleared a patch of land by fighting each other. Weeds sprouted in the severely polluted soil, and Shanhai began her life as a farmer. Divine Pen: The gods entrusted you to us so you could save this world, not spend all your time building houses and farming. Shanhai: What's wrong with farming? You have to eat your fill before you can save the world. Later, the little house grew into a manor, and the small vegetable patch grew into acres of farmland. People scattered across the world, struggling to survive, gradually gathered around Shanhai's manor. The manor slowly became a village, and then a town. The divine beasts gradually cleaned up the polluted land, and mutated monsters became their playthings. Shanhai: Isn't that saving the world? Everyone says people who love to eat are the strongest.
