I Saw a Butterfly in Autumn

- Retired Model x Blind Piano Tuner

Zhou Chun is blind and has an acute aversion to unpleasant sounds. He makes his living tuning pianos. Qian Ruoruo, a former beauty pageant winner, has retired and drags two useless legs around, always complaining that she's stuck living with a good-for-nothing.

Their little house is always gloomy. Apart from the restless stirrings in the middle of the night, there's not a trace of life in it. Then one day, a director claiming to be making a renowned indie documentary finds them, doggedly pursuing them and swearing he'll make them famous overnight.

In the end, the two of them are swindled out of everything they own.

In their chaotic little house, the man feels his way to the woman's slender waist and grips it. Her damp lashes flutter as she curls up and sinks into his chest.

Facing each other, they suddenly kiss as deeply as if they were in a film script, a kiss that reaches down to the bone.

[I saw a butterfly in autumn. In the depths of despair, I held on to you as you lay dying.]
