A car accident brought Xiao Tonghai's first life to an end.
When he opened his eyes again, everything before him was white. He almost thought he'd ended up in a morgue.
A white board jutted out from the middle of the white wall in front of him. It read: "Welcome to the enclosed space, Tasker. You need only complete eight missions to be granted a new life."
Xiao Tonghai reached out to touch the white wall, and a wave of dizziness swept over him.
World One.
He woke from a nap with someone in his arms.
Later, he ran into that person at the entrance to his residential complex, and then again at the door of the apartment opposite his, which had been vacant for ages.
At last, one day, Xiao Tonghai brought He Zhou home after he deliberately went out without an umbrella in the rain. In his bedroom, he pinned the man against the wall as he swanned about on purpose in nothing but a bath towel, and said fiercely, "When I set my heart on something, it's for life. If one day it no longer belongs to me, I'd rather destroy it. We can all go to hell together. That's how it is with things, and people too. Do you understand?"
The poor thing was so frightened that he threw himself into Xiao Tonghai's arms on the spot.
World Two.
He realized that whenever he smiled, the person across from him would nod obediently, no matter what he said.
That night, Xiao Tonghai lit a cigarette. The person he'd met just half a day ago climbed in from next door, then reached over with a slender hand, took his cigarette, stubbed it out, and tossed it downstairs.
The person's voice was low and gentle in the quiet of the night. "Have we met somewhere before?"
Back then, Xiao Tonghai thought they were simply fated rivals. Later, he nearly regretted it for the rest of his life.
World Three.
A spouse fell from the sky and landed right beside him.
On their way back, one of his companions immediately spotted the little half-beast behind Xiao Tonghai and exclaimed, "This half-beast is so cute! Where did you find him?"
Xiao Tonghai subtly blocked Shi Xi's view of Yun Ci and casually replied, "Picked him up on the road. I'm planning to bring him home."
World Four...
A few tips before you start:
1. One-on-one, top perspective, happy ending. A gentle, devoted beauty of a top x a sweet, obedient, adorable bottom who's a little lovesick.
2. This is an old story, the first complete novel I ever wrote. It got rejected several times when I submitted it for a contract, and the writing is pretty average, with plenty of flaws in every respect. But it's my baby, so after thinking it over, I decided to put it out there anyway. Please go easy on me~
3. No replacement lover. The bottom doesn't fall for someone else. You can think of it as the main character's soul being extracted and used for his first life, but without his memories.
Theme: Beautiful things need to unfold one layer at a time.
