Spring Doesn't Blame You

(I'll fill this one in. I may rewrite it from scratch, change the central premise, or alter the male lead's characterization, but the heroine won't change. I still want to write a story about a sensitive girl in her prickly adolescence growing into someone better.) Xin Lie grew up dependent on others, living cautiously and hoping to escape her miserable life as soon as possible. After failing the college entrance exam, she waited through the darkest, dampest days of her life until Xi Zhi arrived with an umbrella. Dressed in a suit, with a dignified bearing, he bent down to meet her eyes. "From today on, I'll take care of you." From that day on, Xin Lie had a new home, and Xi Zhi became her de facto "guardian." Xin Lie caused Xi Zhi a lot of trouble. One spring night, the man arrived, travel-worn, to deal with the rumors and gossip for her. Alone together in the office, Xin Lie didn't want to talk about the past, so she pretended not to care. "You should stop looking after me." "No." The usually gentle man stopped flipping through the documents. "I'm your guardian. I have to see this through." Xin Lie turned her head, her tone awkward. "You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." "I would." Xi Zhi took off his gold-rimmed glasses. With nothing between them, his soulful, peach-blossom eyes met hers. "Whatever you tell me, I'll believe you." That day, Xin Lie said goodbye to her dusty past, only to be captured by his tenderness. She began to rein in her sharp claws and thorns, revealing her kind side. She learned to become an adult like Xi Zhi, inching closer to him. Their affection and tenderness were buried in a spring night. When the spring rain came, a glimpse of daylight appeared. Until the day Xin Lie finally took hold of spring. "Born like duckweed adrift on stormy waves, crossing mountains and seas to meet again in spring." A little guide: 1. One-on-one romance, both sexually inexperienced, happy ending, with a ten-year age gap. 2. A healing and redemption story with an older male lead. The leads are not related by blood, and the male lead is not the heroine's legal guardian. The heroine is already an adult at the start. She has a crush on him while studying, but it won't affect her grades. They confess their feelings after the college entrance exam. Theme: A perfect, passionate, uncompromising love, and the determination to hold on to it.
