After an accident, Bai Zhi was wounded by the demons and poisoned with the deadly Three-Month Snow. She fell into a coma that lasted ten whole years.
When Bai Zhi awoke, her innate spiritual root had been ripped out. She was so weak she panted after every three steps, a medicine jar in every sense of the word. Not a single person in the immortal sect treated her kindly.
She was confined to the Lanyue Pavilion. Even when she stepped out for a breath of fresh air, outer-sect disciples sweeping the grounds would sneer and spit, saying, "Why don't you just die already?"
Within half a month, Bai Zhi finally learned the truth about what had happened while she was unconscious.
The other "Bai Zhi" had tried to seduce the Dao Lord, and after failing, secretly communicated with the demons, leaking every last detail about the immortal sect. She had even planned to betray the sect for the Demon Lord. Xie Zhuo had fought against everyone's objections to save her, but as the price for keeping her alive, her innate spiritual root was gouged out and her cultivation plummeted. Later, she tried the same trick to get her spiritual root back, planning to seduce Xie Zhuo.
That was when Bai Zhi understood: she had been possessed. The intruder had ruined her reputation, then vanished without a trace.
Before she could expose the culprit, she had to reclaim her spiritual root and restore her good name. But proving that the earlier "Bai Zhi" hadn't been her was far too difficult.
She thought of her senior brother Xie Zhuo, the person she had known the longest.
Their elders had arranged their marriage before they entered the immortal sect, but they had never gotten along, and their relationship had eventually frozen over. After they gained the chance to cultivate, Xie Zhuo was found to possess a sword bone and was chosen as the Sword Sovereign's heir. Bai Zhi, with her innate spiritual root, became a disciple of the Dao Lord. They had no further contact.
Xie Zhuo arrived quickly. Through the window, she saw him in white robes, refusing to meet her eyes.
He said coldly, "I, Xie Zhuo, agreed to take Senior Sister Bai to ascend, and our pact is witnessed by Heaven and Earth. What more do you want? If something's wrong, why not have a good cry to your Demon Lord and ask him to take you out of Lanyue Pavilion?"
"The Demon Lord?" Bai Zhi gave a scornful laugh, then coughed for ages until her face flushed red. "I, Bai Zhi, am a disciple of the Dao Lord, righteous to the core. He'd be too unlucky to have me. You're the one who's so timid you won't even show your face. How are you any different from the demons you're sheltering? You two are made for each other."
Xie Zhuo lowered his eyes and looked at her through the window lattice.
"I said I'd take you to ascend. You don't need to go to all this trouble to win me over."
"Win you over?" Bai Zhi considered his words, then looked at him strangely. "You think getting yelled at is winning you over? What kind of kink is that?"
Xie Zhuo: ?
"Still trying to deny it," Bai Zhi said. "Didn't we have a marriage agreement? So how about we become cultivation partners? That would satisfy your getting-yelled-at kink and clear my name, so people won't think I was so obsessed with the Demon Lord that I betrayed the sect for him."
"Bai Zhi." Xie Zhuo pushed open the window. "Stop talking. We'll marry right now."
Bai Zhi: ...?
Seeing her bewildered expression, Xie Zhuo said softly, "No one else can talk like you."
Xie Zhuo had once thought he hated her.
Bai Zhi had a sharp tongue and always knew how to hit him where it hurt. And yet she was bound to him by their marriage agreement. After years of trading barbs with her, he had finally won some peace and quiet.
Until the day she lay in a pool of blood, unable to speak.
With trembling hands, he stormed into the demons' lair. He fought until his sword broke, just to seize the antidote to Three-Month Snow, hoping only that she would say something to him.
He escaped the lair with the antidote, only to find her already in another person's arms, weeping and sobbing.
That wasn't her.
If it had been her, she would only have frowned, spat out a mouthful of poisonous blood, and sneered, "Damn, you got lucky. Didn't even poison your mom to death."
Bai Zhi was gone for ten years. From then on, the world remained dark for ten years.

Bold, sharp-tongued senior sister x M-leaning childhood friend and senior brother of the Sword Sect
Theme: Face the many sides of yourself with courage
The heroine still has misunderstandings about the hero. She doesn't like it. When will it be solved? In addition, when will Bai Zhi get back everything that belongs to her 🥺
I really like the senior brothers and sisters written by the author. The author must work hard to write about senior brothers and sisters.
Kindness? I don't understand, so why did it turn into a lotus flower? The heroine understands now, I'm confused
Quick! Take! Come back! Spirit! Root! I! Want! Look! Small! Affection! Companion! Stick! Stick!
When will the teacher update?
