Luo Yu recently won early access to a game called A Journey Through Teyvat.

The reason he was interested was simple: a guaranteed pick of your choice every fifty pulls, and no grind at all!

Luo Yu, unlucky as ever: QAQ Waaah, how can a game this amazing exist? If I don't jump on this, I'm not human!

Since he chose the side-character mode, he had to pick one of the twins to be the protagonist from the start, then accompany them all the way to the ending.

They're both so good-looking. I want to pick them both! Damn it, my indecisiveness is acting up.

Luo Yu tried selecting both of them at once.

Luo Yu failed to exploit the loophole.

With no other choice, he used a little spinning wheel to pick one at random.

It was the younger sister. Yes!

Wait, he picked the younger sister, so why did it turn into the older brother?

Luo Yu accompanied the protagonist as he fought monsters and leveled up. The protagonist was very considerate toward him, and before long, he became Luo Yu's trusted confidant.

When the game reached its finale, they had to fight the final battle. Luo Yu saw the protagonist get ambushed and rushed forward to take the hit for him, only to die himself.

No problem! A-Kong had become a god, so Luo Yu could play through the game a second time!

Before he could start a new save, his dad told him they were moving. Just as Luo Yu reached the entrance to their new neighborhood, a dog happened to pass by and lock eyes with him.

He looked at the dog. The dog looked at him.

Dog: “Woof!!!”

Luo Yu: “...!!”

He ran. The dog chased him. Luo Yu had nowhere to fly.

Luo Yu simply couldn't outrun a four-wheel-drive animal. With the dog about to catch him, he shut his eyes and charged toward an innocent golden-haired boy with a long braid, throwing himself at him. “Help!!!”

A-Kong played a game in which he was the protagonist, accompanied by an NPC.

A-Kong poked the NPC's arm.

The NPC didn't react, only smiled at him.

A-Kong pinched the NPC's cheek.

The NPC looked a little troubled. “Xiao Kong, that hurts a bit.”

Well, even though Luo Yu was a virtual character, he could still get upset if you teased him too much.

Luo Yu traveled with him all the way, sharing life's ups and downs with him. One day, A-Kong suddenly realized that he had fallen for the paper-thin character right in front of him.

So A-Kong poked him again. “A-Yu, I like you.”

Luo Yu didn't respond for a long while. Much, much later, he finally answered with a blush. “I-I like you too.”

A-Kong closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

All right. He's now Luo Yu's number-one fan and a self-insert daydreamer, and he absolutely refuses to share him.

Shi Moyu: “What? Bullshit. My husband is gentle and considerate. There's no way he'd do that.”

Friend 1: “Sure. Only to you.”

Friend 2: “...”

Shi Moyu bristled. “If you've got something to say, just say it. Don't play games with me.”

Childhood friend: “I'm just guessing, okay? I bet he's put a tracker on your phone. Otherwise, how does he always manage to find you?”

Shi Moyu instinctively tried to deny it, but the words wouldn't come out.

All the details he'd overlooked and the questions that had flashed through his mind only to disappear came flooding back. Shi Moyu glanced at the phone on the table. After a moment's hesitation, he reached for it

Suddenly, a broad hand covered his.

The ring finger of that hand wore a ring identical to Shi Moyu's. The silver band was polished and gleaming, without a single scratch. Its owner had clearly taken meticulous care of it.
