Haya Jian clutched her aching chest, breathing rapidly.

The two police officers in front of her seemed to still be explaining the case, but for some reason her consciousness was growing too hazy to hold on. The dull ache in her chest grew stronger with each wave. Their voices reached her ears like a power saw, driving her mad.

She braced one hand against the wall and slowly sank to her knees. She didn't feel sad or upset inside, and there was none of the excitement she shouldn't have felt. Yet tears streamed down her face of their own accord.

Her complexion was probably awful too. Her whole body trembled uncontrollably, until all strength left her fingers and her white phone dropped to the floor with a smack.

"From Kusanagi Kazuki

Haya Jian curled up, a faint whimper escaping her throat.

In the end, she couldn't hold back and burst into tears.
