---Novel blurb---

Arrogant little dragon x carefree, playful Lord of the Gods

Also known as She Looks So Dashing When She Hits Me and The God Lord's Daily Quest to Get Beaten

Ciyue is the only inheritor of the Divine Dragon Clan's secret arts, the sole master of moonlight, and proud beyond measure. Yet in the prime of her life, she was stabbed to death by her sworn enemy in her previous life.

Reborn, she discovers that the sworn enemy who should have been living carefree among the Celestial Clan has become a VIP of the Demon Clan in this life. To find a chance to take care of this problem as soon as possible, Ciyue accepts an invitation to teach among the demons.

Qian Yu is unruly and willful. He shows up late and leaves early, but his cultivation is formidable, and both his classmates and instructors are wary of his strength.

Ciyue isn't afraid of him.

The two clash in class and fight tooth and nail during sparring matches.

One day, Ciyue punishes Qian Yu by sending him to clear the most dangerous steps on a cliff behind the Demon Clan's grounds. But he loses his footing and slips off the cliff.

At the last second, Ciyue swoops in and catches him.

Qian Yu's handsome brows and bright eyes are full of amusement. As they plummet, he wraps one arm around Ciyue's waist and firmly grips the cliff face with the other.

"Princess, didn't you want me dead? Why save me?"

Only afterward does Ciyue realize how awkward it is that she saved him on instinct. Once they land, she whips him with her teaching cane, then walks away without looking back.

A classmate, feeling that Qian Yu has been treated unfairly, complains, "Instructor Ciyue is so unreasonable and cruel!"

Qian Yu rubs the faint mark on his arm, then glances at his classmate and beams.

"Princess Ciyue may be cold and heartless, and she makes students copy texts three hundred times as punishment. She's as vicious as the Demon Garden's beasts. But when she hits me, she looks so dashing."

Classmate: ...

Senior Brother, are you okay? Oh, so that's what you're into?

Ciyue only knew that when she died in Qian Yu's arms in her previous life, he had been calm and indifferent.

He said, "If you hate me, remember it in your next life."

She thought Qian Yu was provoking her one last time before he died. But she didn't know that beneath his calm expression lay a pain and struggle on the verge of madness, and a resolve to defy Heaven itself.

Unfortunately, Ciyue's consciousness faded too soon. She didn't hear Qian Yu's final, almost pleading wish as his blood soaked into the earth.

"I love you. Remember me."

1. Past and present lives.

2. The male lead did not kill the female lead in their previous life.

3. I take plenty of creative liberties and write in plain language. If it's not your thing, please don't be mean about it!!

My Talent Show in the Cultivation World

[Mindless fluff. Don't compare this to real idol fandoms. I'm making it all up, so don't yell at me!!]

World-weary Demon Lord (Chi Suihan) x adorable, lucky-star-obsessed fan (Lou Jinzhao)

After a devastating war between the righteous sects and the demons, every faction is left severely weakened. As the sects recuperate and rebuild, all the clans start making their moves.

While other sects begin rigorously selecting disciples and testing their cultivation every month, Lou Jinzhao, who was born into the cultivation world, leads her sect in launching the Cultivation World's first idol competition!

*

Preparations for the competition are in full swing when the Demon Lord, on his way to wipe out a righteous sect, finds himself surrounded by a crowd.

Chi Suihan stares impatiently at the young woman clinging to him, wondering if he should just crush her to death on the spot.

Then she exclaims in delight, "Fellow cultivator, I can tell from your remarkable bones and the purple starlight between your brows that you're destined to be an explosive talent. How about joining our competition?"

Chi Suihan: "...?"

*

Through a twist of fate, Chi Suihan joins the righteous sect's talent competition. His peerlessly world-weary face puts him in first place by a huge margin, but he slacks off at every turn.

His rivals start calling him a "pretty but useless face," and Lou Jinzhao, who cares deeply about her career, panics.

She sneaks off to find Chi Suihan and earnestly urges him to take the competition seriously. Chi Suihan looks at Jinzhao, who's far too worried about him, and nods as if he understands.

The next day, Chi Suihan and a rival take turns composing poetry.

The rival writes: "A bird outside the window."

Lou Jinzhao bursts out laughing and immediately posts a counterattack on the forum:

[Hot take: What kind of literary talent does this rival have? "A bird outside the window."]

The next second, Chi Suihan replies with a line of his own: "I reach out and wring its neck."

Lou Jinzhao: ?

She looks down and sees that the rival's fans have already piled more than three hundred mocking replies onto her post.

*

Halfway through the competition, Lou Jinzhao can't keep up with all the handsome men she sees every day.

Chi Suihan frowns. "How many people do you like, exactly?"

Lou Jinzhao answers seriously, "You might find me on any wall."

Chi Suihan lowers his eyes and thinks it over.

The next day, a scandalous incident rocks the sect: every wall outside the contestants' courtyards has collapsed overnight!

Lou Jinzhao grabs Chi Suihan. "Don't tell me you had something to do with this!"

Chi Suihan discreetly wipes the dust from his fingertips and answers without a hint of guilt, "Huh? What happened? I don't know."

*

Chi Suihan and Lou Jinzhao, the richest woman in Snow City, are exposed as a couple. Naturally, his identity as the Demon Lord can no longer be hidden.

The talent-show fans flood the forum, both thrilled and heartbroken.

[Once a producer of cultivation-world idols, always a victim of cultivation-world idols.]

[Good heavens! Everyone who called the Demon Lord a "pretty but useless face" should get on your knees and thank him for sparing you.]

[Question: Lou Jinzhao promoted the Demon Lord and made righteous-path money. Does that count as ill-gotten gains?]

Lou Jinzhao replies directly: "You should delete this. It's bad for me."

[I'm dying. The Demon Lord came to the righteous path to get famous, and now he's latched onto the richest woman. Are the demons so broke they're desperate?]

Chi Suihan replies directly: "Please don't judge the whole clan by my personal actions. Sorry for taking up public resources. From now on, I'll do my best to monopolize only Zhaozhao."

Lou Jinzhao: "?"

The talent-show fans: "? Where's the justice!?"

The shipping fans: "Where's the justice!? Where's the fairness!? And where are the Suihan-and-Jinzhao shippers!?"

*

You washed away the abyssal dust on me with the light and love of everyone watching.

Only then could I return to the human world.

Reading guide:

1. The heroine doesn't give the male lead special treatment.

2. There won't be vicious fan-war arguments.

3. It's a talent competition in a cultivation world, but there will be the unavoidable flirty moments between the leads during the competition. If that bothers you, please don't read.

4. I wrote this to heal my broken heart from following idols. I'm letting loose completely, so expect modern jokes and fandom slang. If that's not for you, please don't read!

5. [Important] I'm making it all up, so don't yell at me. Just have fun!

Theme: Steadfast love can overcome any hardship.
