He Wanwan was a transmigrated woman who thought herself extraordinary and was convinced she was the heroine. Then she realized the heroine might actually be someone else.
Her family pushed her into marrying a timid prince. He looked even less like a male lead, no matter how she saw it. She sighed and prepared to settle down to a quiet life, only for her husband to rebel!
Captured by enemy troops and held hostage to threaten Helian Yan, He Wanwan drew on her years of reading melodramatic novels and decided the scoundrel would abandon her. So before he could say a word, she beat him to it and gave him a thorough tongue-lashing, then turned to the enemy and asked, "Can I join you?"
