He had once been brought to a noble's banquet and forced to fight a magical beast for the guests' entertainment. He accidentally trampled a few blades of grass in the garden during the fight, angering the estate's owner. For that, he was beaten until his skin was torn and he was left half dead.
"What's a sensitive plant?"
"A kind of plant that gets shy. Whenever someone touches it, it shyly closes its leaves."
"I see..."
The little plant wiggled its leaves and was delighted to discover that it could close them too.
"I'm a sensitive plant!"
"You're not."
"All right..."
The little plant wasn't discouraged.
"Then I'm a hugging plant!"
"A hugging plant?"
"It's a kind of plant that gives hugs. Whenever someone touches me, I hug them!"
In the dark dungeon, a man covered in wounds lay on the ground. Suddenly, a soft sensation brushed his fingertips.
The little plant tried with all its might to close its leaves, wrapping them around the man's bloodstained fingertip in a hug.
"I didn't touch you."
"But this little plant wants to hug you."
