#MarriageFirstLoveLater / Food / Sweet Romance / Height Difference / Delicate Beauty x Battle-Hardened Warrior
Jiang Miaoyin was graceful and radiant. By imperial decree, she became the wife of the Marquis of Wu’an.
Everyone knew that Li Xuanlang, the Marquis of Wu’an, had joined the army at eighteen and made a name for himself in a single battle. The Northern Rong feared him as the Red Wolf. But he contracted a madness after that battle and was forced to leave the army and retire. Five years later, no medicine could cure his illness, and he grew increasingly violent and bloodthirsty.
On their wedding night, the veil was lifted, and Jiang Miaoyin raised her peach-blossom eyes.
Her husband before her had sharp brows, tiger-like eyes, and a tall, powerful frame. His expression was cold and menacing, like a Rakshasa demon who feasted on flesh and drank blood in the storybooks.
Remembering the rumors, she was so frightened that tears welled in her eyes. “I-I can make chicken with scallion vinegar, spring bamboo shoots, steamed whole lamb, duck blossom soup...”
“Marquis, have something nice to eat! Please don’t eat me, all right?”

Outsiders didn’t know that five years ago, Li Xuanlang had not been dismissed by the emperor. He had requested retirement himself.
For years, he had let his sword break and his armor fall, willingly confining himself and trudging alone through confusion and nightmares. He kept everyone at a distance, waiting for the day he would die like a stray dog.
When he was on the verge of despair, he finally met his goddess.
Her hands were beautiful, and she was a wonderful cook. She pieced together his broken heart, brushed away the frost, and wrapped it in honey.
