Soft Fragrance

Arranged marriage, then falling in love / Age gap

① Wen Ran's marriage was arranged by her parents.

The year her father went bankrupt, Wen Ran went to see her fiance. She waited all night in the pouring rain, only to hear him say insincerely, "My mom doesn't approve of us being together. Let's break up for now."

The neighbors crowded around the doorway, chattering among themselves: "Does she really think she can still marry into the Zhou family after going bankrupt?"

Amid the commotion, a man walked over from the end of the street, holding an umbrella. He draped a men's suit jacket over her shoulders.

"She's here to call off the engagement." Ren Jingchuan bent over and fastened the buttons one by one. Holding Wen Ran by the shoulders, he said to her fiance, "Ranran and I have been together for a long time."

Later, Wen Ran went with Ren Jingchuan to register their marriage.

② Wen Ran thought her marriage was just for show, until one day she happened to see her ex-fiance, who had been clamoring to see her at the door, knocked down by a single punch from Ren Jingchuan.

The man licked his back teeth and looked down at the pathetic loser before him with scorn. "I was already in love with her when you were still playing in the dirt."
