[Original Story Synopsis]
Feeling that he lacks some crucial ingredient for victory, the "unlucky genius batter" Hiromichi Kojima heads to Okinawa for intensive training with his coach and pitcher. There he meets Toa Tokuchi, a mysterious man said to be undefeated in gambling baseball.
Outraged by Tokuchi's gambling, Kojima challenges him to a game. The genius professional batter is utterly defeated by Tokuchi, whose pitching is only at a "third-rate" level.
After spending some time training in the mountains, Kojima challenges Tokuchi to a second game, wagering his own professional career against Tokuchi's right hand. In their second match, Kojima gives it everything he has and exploits a loophole in the rules, finally beating the undefeated Tokuchi.
"Take that bat and break my right hand." Tokuchi holds out his right hand as promised, but Kojima grips it tightly. "Who said I was going to break it? I only said I wanted your right hand! Come join the world of professional baseball!"
Tokuchi joins the LYCAONS, where he makes a crazy wager with team director and chairman Ayukawa: he earns five million for every batter he strikes out, but pays a fifty-million penalty for every run he gives up.
What kind of miracle can Toa Tokuchi, who throws only fastballs at no more than 120 kilometers per hour, bring to the perpetually B-rated underdog LYCAONS?
Set in the world of baseball, this is a battle of extraordinary wits! Toa Tokuchi is a man who never loses at the game of ONE OUTS. Is it instinct, skill, or magic? What is the secret behind the pitch that no one can hit?
Theme:
It's so happy. It's the same as the comic, but it intersperses the emotional lines between East Asia and the original heroine. There is no OOC, but it retains the mystery and tenderness of East Asia very well. The final ending is great with the heroine accompanying it, which washes away the melancholy when reading the comic ending. (?ε` )?
There is actually a BG article about Tokuji East Asia!!!! So touching!!!
Hisoka is enough to keep me entertained for a hundred years
When I read the comics, I didn't understand why no one replaced Dong Ya. It turned out that it was for the final victory. Faced with a temporary defeat, the teammates chose to believe in Dongya, believing that Dongya would definitely lead everyone to victory. (?;ω;`)
Cookies you'll never tire of
As a veteran driver who has experienced many battles (cough, theory), I like this kind of thing the most. :-P
You also have great ideas about prostitution in Dongya! Dong Ya is really difficult to write, I have no idea what he is thinking, but he is so handsome!!!
Oops, the heroine still followed her in the end. I thought they would break up.
East Asia!!! >///
I'm so happy to see my fellow fans ^ω^
