[Western Crossover] Project: Joker

Before you stands Gotham's rising star, its youngest entrepreneur, a mayor who rose from the slums and is loved and trusted by the people, an official who has solved countless Gotham crises and devoted himself to maintaining the city longer than anyone else, and a breath of fresh air in politics.

Lucian.

Before transmigrating, Lucian swore to the God of Great Fortune that he would become the ultimate villainous boss, destroy the world, kill without mercy, and commit every evil imaginable.

Then fortune literally ran him over and he transmigrated.

But he had amnesia.

Lucian: Isn't transmigration all about taking advantage of knowing things others don't? What's the point if I've lost my memory?

Amnesiac Lucian wholeheartedly believed he was a Gotham native, took all his original body's memories at face value, and spent his days acting shifty and timid.

Until one day, he realized that a few too many people around him had died.

He'd fallen into a fortune, but got branded a wanted criminal.

Lucian: Who did this?

His lost memories had become a second personality, independent and determined to fulfill his oath.

It diligently destroyed the world, killed without mercy, and committed every evil imaginable.

It exploited its information advantage, followed the plot, played its tricks, and even made money to support its useless main personality.

Second personality: I'm so freaking screwed.

Once Lucian realized something was wrong with him, he sent himself straight to a mental hospital, determined not to destroy the world, kill without mercy, or commit every evil imaginable.

After shouldering immense pressure and then getting stabbed in the back, his second personality finally went dark.

And so the Joker was born.

The Joker's perspective:

I watched you grow up. I saw your awkwardness, your innocence, your resilience, your determination. I gave you advice and stayed by your side as you grew. I was your companion and comfort in your youth, as well as the shadow and nightmare you could never escape.

I waited a long time for you to become righteous enough, great enough.

Then I went dark.

As for you?

Heehee, I don't care. I've already gone dark. :)

P.S. From the start, the protagonist plays mind games with thin air.

P.S. I originally planned to write a Batman/Joker pairing, but then I realized I like selfcest better (gasp).

P.S. The "great fortune" in the blurb refers to a Great Fortune-brand truck. Lots of protagonists transmigrate after getting hit by a truck, so getting hit by a Great Fortune truck and having great fortune became a joke.

P.S. I'm begging you, I can't make this blurb make sense no matter how I write it.
