My Soul Ended Up in Miss J's Cat [Showbiz]

Also known as "Manufacturing Love [Entertainment Industry]"

Jing Congwan, a talented second-tier actress, becomes a sensation thanks to her latest S+ hit drama.

She is on the verge of making it into the first tier.

But then her former assistant smears her, and the whole internet turns against her.

Her manager tells her to wait out the storm.

Oh, all right.

The result: several endorsement deals she'd already negotiated fall through, and her Weibo followers start plummeting.

Furious, she can only complain night after night while cuddling her beloved pet.

The chubby blue cat, whose body had been taken over by the soul of a certain "washed-up superstar," wriggles free.

It jumps onto the coffee table, picks up a cherry in its mouth, and places it in her hand.

Then it rubs its head against her as if to comfort her.

Jing Congwan is instantly smitten and forgets all about being hated by the whole internet.

She quickly takes out her phone and sends a photo to her friend: "My cat has become a little spirit!"

Just as Jing Congwan is hopelessly absorbed in doting on her cat, she receives an invitation to a dating show jointly produced by China and South Korea.

She says, "Dating? No thanks, it's not for me."

But her manager strongly disagrees: "A dating show is perfect! Just what we need. Accept it!"

And so, the chosen office drone is forced to drag her suitcase onto the road to finding love.

Quan Zhilong, already labeled a "washed-up superstar," appears on a dating show, and the livestream chat explodes.

The superstar responds with swagger: "I'm not washed up at all. I'm still popular."
