[Dragonlance Fanfiction] Investiture of the Gods

I've recently been sorting through the fanfiction I've written, along with quite a lot of manuscripts. Most of it seems pretty childish to me. I've gathered almost everything about HP, but the Dragonlance stories are still handwritten. I wrote them during university lectures. Forgive me for not paying attention in class. I never finished this one back then, but I thought it was pretty good, so I typed it up and finished it. Of course, it's a short Dragonlance fanfic. In the original story, Raistlin wanted to kill his brother. At that point, he still hadn't asked his brother why he pitied him. "Fear tore at his reason, and rage ravaged his insides. The spell rose to his lips, tasting like blood. He began chanting the incantation at his brother, but choked, his legs giving way as he fell. The spell remained in his mind, still waiting for his command. He would make his brother die in agony in the flames, just as he had done to his brother's illusion in the Tower of High Sorcery long ago. If only, if only he could draw a breath..." And then the magic that was supposed to burn his brother to death never worked... But he had the Staff of Magius, so why did he fall? If he'd stayed on his feet and completed the spell, Caramon wouldn't have been able to tell him about the future. What would have happened then? The background music is "The Soulforged," a song from Blind Guardian's album "A Night at the Opera." It tells the story of little Raistlin's life, from his birth to the end of his Test.
