When Jiguo Di Lu woke again, it was already the Taisho era. The Jiguo family had also changed its name, going from a samurai clan to the Tokito family, now consisting of only two children.
The wooden house was so poor it barely had two coins to rub together. Looking at the twins huddled under the same blanket, Jiguo Di Lu just couldn't bring herself to leave.
How should she put it? They looked remarkably like her nephews. Her older brothers had passed away long ago, so Jiguo Di Lu, as their elder, decided to put her mission aside for now and do her best to look after them.
Only, the whole process was quite different from what she had imagined.
“What do you mean, ‘little sister’? I'm your elder! You should at least call me big sister.”
Yuichiro Tokito didn't react at all to Jiguo Di Lu's words. He walked right past her carrying firewood. She then turned her attention to the other Tokito boy, only to get a head pat and some candy in return.
Sitting alone in the corner, sulking, Jiguo Di Lu crunched her candy noisily.
PS:
1. The heroine belongs to the same species as Hainoshi from Summer Time Rendering, though there are differences between individuals. For example, the heroine doesn't like the smell of humans.
2. Mrs. Jiguo only had sons. The daughter is my original character.
3. The first world is Demon Slayer, the second is Jujutsu Kaisen. More to come.
