Yang Xia is an unlucky soul who has descended to the mortal realm to undergo a tribulation.
Plenty of condemned immortals descend to the mortal realm, so there's nothing unusual about that. But she happens to be the unluckiest fallen immortal of them all: her sentence is so long that she couldn't finish the tribulation in a lifetime.
Everyone calls her a squatter, but she can't help it!
And yet!
Yang Xia was never the type to lie flat and wait for fate to decide her life. As luck would have it, that old fool, the Jade Emperor, set up a reeducation-through-labor scheme equivalent to the mortal world, calling it the "Loulan System." If she works hard enough, with her abilities, she can surely return to the Celestial Court ahead of schedule!
She worked steadily and diligently, pushing herself to become number one in the Loulan System across all of China.
But one day, she suddenly discovered that she was the wife of a powerful deity...
Yet in their previous life, it seemed they hadn't parted on good terms... It's said that the entire Celestial Court is afraid to mention her title in front of the deity...
For fear that the big shot might get angry and set the entire Celestial Palace on fire...
Hmm... It seems her time in the mortal realm won't come to such a simple end...
Note: Happy ending. The romance between the leads develops a little slowly at first, and the female lead focuses on her career most of the time. A mortal's power and an immortal's can't be measured on the same scale, so she is only relatively strong. The immortal system is original to this story.
Theme: Hard work can change your fate to some extent, but some things are destined. All you can do is face them calmly.
