The Villainous Senior Brother Refuses to Reform [Book Transmigration]

Wang Shu stayed up all night reading a male-oriented cultivation novel. He died suddenly and, to his misfortune, transmigrated into the book as its hypocritical senior disciple, Dongfang Wangshu.

Following the usual transmigration-into-a-book plot, he should have clung to the protagonist Zhang Yan's coattails, racking up favorability until he became part of the protagonist's group.

Unfortunately, Wang Shu was a bad seed himself.

Cling to his coattails?

Raise his favorability?

Not a chance. Since he'd already thoroughly offended the guy, he might as well finish him off, nip the protagonist in the bud, steal his opportunities, and ascend to immortality. That was the real path.

By day, he was the bright, noble, impeccable senior disciple of the immortal sect. Behind the scenes, he wore a secret identity and was notorious for his wicked deeds.

Zhang Yan was born into poverty and should have spent his life struggling in the mortal world. But during the Ten Directions Pavilion's trial on the Central Continent, he was found to possess a Heavenly Spirit Root and accepted as an inner disciple.

Zhang Yan's peerless talent made him shine at the Ten Directions Pavilion, but it also aroused senior disciple Dongfang Wangshu's jealousy. Wangshu crippled his meridians and destroyed his spirit root, turning him from heaven's favored child into a useless nobody anyone could bully.

It was only when his senior disciple set a trap with every escape route blocked, determined to kill him with his own hands, that Zhang Yan saw Dongfang Wangshu's true, treacherous nature.

Zhang Yan thought he was doomed to die there, but he managed to escape by sheer luck and endured hardship as he plotted his revenge.

The next time they met, he swore he would kill Dongfang Wangshu or cease to be a man!

Later

Dongfang Wangshu: "You swore you'd kill me or cease to be a man?"

Zhang Yan: "Woof, woof."
