Plot summary:
In fifth year, during the battle at the Department of Mysteries, Hermione is pulled through the Veil in Sirius's place and travels to London sixty years in the past.
In a new body, she gives herself the name Jane Green and meets four- or five-year-old Tom Riddle at the London Wood Orphanage.
Faced with Voldemort as a child, the righteous Hermione gives up on killing him before he can grow up.
To return to the future, Hermione chooses to let history take its course, but their fates have already become intertwined, inseparable from one another.
Can the past really be changed?
