Lucky Empress

Shen Yingfu was just an ordinary person from the 21st century, but she unexpectedly found herself transported to an unfamiliar ancient land. She became a substitute for a beautiful woman from the state of Qiang who had died of illness after being sent as tribute to the Great Qi, and was sent into the imperial palace.

To protect herself, before entering the palace, Shen Yingfu came up with a plan and had the Qiang envoys spread the rumor that she was a bringer of good fortune.

The emperor of Great Qi, however, wanted to intimidate Qiang. With a grand wave of his hand, he sent her to the Fengtian Tower as a female astrologer, forbidding her from entering the inner palace or the imperial court.

Little did he know that her expertise was exactly what the job required. She knew astrology, feng shui, the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, and forbidden witchcraft. She could even use modern technology to summon rain and manage floods.

After winning over the High Priest, who doubted her, Shen Yingfu planned to write books at Fengtian Tower and wait a decade or so for him to retire, then take his place. Unexpectedly, she crossed paths with the emperor, Shao Yan.

The first time she met Shao Yan, she secretly watched him from behind a rock garden.

The second time, Prince Rui Shao Yu set her up. He said they were going to listen to music, but instead she got a long scolding from Shao Yan.

The third time, she met Shao Yan in the imperial garden while collecting morning dew. He forced her to tell his fortune.

The fourth time, they met in bed at Huachi Hall. Shao Yan had brought her out of Fengtian Tower and invested her as a Beauty.

Shen Yingfu knew she was a pawn Shao Yan would use to manage the inner palace and the imperial court, but she didn't care. After weathering the treacherous intrigues of the inner palace, all she wanted was to go home.

Shen Yingfu never stopped looking for a way home.

But even after rising from Beauty to Concubine, then Consort, then Worthy Consort, and giving birth to the Eldest Princess and the Fourth Prince, she still hadn't found a way back.

Shen Yingfu made a decision: she would become empress.

Shao Yan knew that the woman sent as tribute from Qiang had been replaced at the last minute and that the substitute was actually a citizen of Great Qi. He deliberately spared her life and sent her to Fengtian Tower.

But she turned out to be bold enough to hide behind a rock garden and spy on him.

P.S.

1. The hero dotes exclusively on the heroine.

2. The heroine is a virgin, the hero isn't (after all, he's an emperor, but after meeting the heroine, he stops visiting the harem and selecting consorts).

3. The heroine has a 100% lucky constitution, with good fortune as her special trait.

4. The heroine's traits: blessed with tremendous good fortune, breathtakingly beautiful, intelligent, poised, and calculating.
